St George's Day

23rd April. I'm curious how many English people actually realised it was St George's Day today? I've always wondered why we don't 'celebrate' being English on this



one day; are we embarrassed? Come St Patrick's Day, all the English are partying like maniacs! Now who is the biggest hero? George slew a fire-eating dragon on all accounts, and what did Paddy do? Shoo a few snakes out of Ireland was it? Pah!
It's about time we had an extra bank holiday and made a proper day out of it.
